List Recorder combines making lists with an easy to use, yet powerful audio recorder. The result is a handy app that lets you quickly jot down and organize information as audio, text or both.

List Recorder has powerful recording features such as your choice of recording formats, optional stereo, a level meter, the ability to continue recording after pausing or system interruption, three ways to transfer your audio files and more. Its recording function is so easy, you can do it blindfolded!

A great audio recorder is only part of the List Recorder package. It is also a great organizer, so you wont lose track of your audio after it’s recorded. Manage all kinds of information by making lists of items that can include both audio and text. Give your items do dates. Make lists within lists.

List Recorder is fun and efficient to use with its custom motions and gestures. Pause and continue by tilting your device. Navigate through your lists with taps and tilts. Check items with swipes. You’ll feel like you have a magic wand that talks to you as List Recorder responds to your tilts and touches.

It’s quick and easy to record a note. A single tap and you’re recording. Give it a title and text or just tilt left and go back to the list view. Organize in whatever way you want by sorting and moving items between lists.

List Recorder is available in two editions. Purchase the Lite edition from the iTunes store. Upgrade to the Full edition from within the app. The Full edition extends the 10 second per item record limit to the capacity of your device and adds export options. See www.sixthmode.com/lr-purchase for more information.

Pros and cons of List Recorder app for iPhone and iPad

List Recorder app good for

This app is terrific!Totally accessible for everyone including voiceOver Users. Fast to use and efficient!
I may recomend that hat nice productivity app, accessible for anyone without restriction. Unfortunately the button for purchase a full sized version of List Recorder doesnt work, no matter how often I click on it. That should be fixed as soon as possible.

Some bad moments

Not recommended The free version just let you record 10 seconds! To record freely you have to pay 8 dollars, which is unacceptable for a simple recorder. The app is very good, the price is a steal.
I need to buy the "full" version in order for it to do what I want. I would be DELIGHTED to do this BUT there seems to be no way to accomplish this task. No link. No customer service. What a dissappointment!
This program is easy to get started with since it comes pre-populated with items that tell you what to do first. There are seven items that use a recorded voice to step you through learning the app. It lets you do lots of stuff without having to figure out some elses system of categories or priorities or whatever. The thing that is really addictive about the app though, is being able to left tilt whenever you want to bail out of something and it gets you back to a good place. I like it.
Every blind user should have this. Very powerful and uniquely accessible with VoiceOver hints. Perfect!
For example, I use List Recorder at both choir practice and church to record music. I use the settings feature that allows a silent vibration to notify me of the start of recording. I use the text field to memorize lyrics. I use it as a prompter when doing public speaking. I record the directions for recipes using a headset. I play it back so I can do hands free cooking. I even have a letter to Santa list with a list of lists of gift ideas for family members.
Piece of feces. First of all, the instructions are verbose and difficult to follow. Maybe its really powerful, but your head will spin figuring out how to use it. The UI is very non-intuitive. But the real problem, and what they dont tell you when you buy the app, is that the $0.99 version only lets you make 10 (TEN!) second recordings. Want a longer recording? Buy the $7.99 version! I think this is the first app Ive taken the trouble to review - just so annoyed at the blatant ripoff.
